Sense in Work: Better Spaces, Better Experiences for All

Sense in Work is dedicated to helping organisations create spaces that are inclusive of everyone’s sensory needs. Whether in workplaces, healthcare settings, public venues, or community spaces, we provide practical training that empowers organisations to make meaningful, lasting changes.

Who We Are

Sense in Work is run by Sensory Integration Education, a world-leading, not-for-profit training provider with over 30 years of experience in sensory integration. Since 1994, we have worked with healthcare professionals, educators, academic researchers, and families to improve awareness and understanding of sensory processing differences. Our expertise is grounded in evidence-based practice, with a long history of training professionals across more than 100 countries.

Why We Created Sense in Work

While our work has traditionally supported therapists and educators, we recognise that sensory inclusion is vital in every environment. From workplaces and public buildings to hospitals and retail spaces, ensuring that people of all sensory needs can access and engage with their surroundings is essential for well-being, productivity, and inclusion.

With Sense in Work, we are bringing our knowledge and expertise to businesses, organisations, and public services, equipping them with the tools they need to create sensory-friendly environments. Our courses are designed to be practical and accessible, providing clear, actionable steps that any organisation can take to improve sensory inclusion.

Our Commitment to Quality and Impact

As part of Sensory Integration Education, Sense in Work is backed by decades of expertise in training and research. Our work is informed by the principles of Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy, an internationally recognised framework for understanding and supporting sensory processing needs.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest our surpluses into course development, research support, and expanding access to sensory integration education. We believe that sensory inclusion should be a standard, not an afterthought — and we are committed to helping organisations make it a reality.
